How's it going? We are all still here, and still alive. Happy Late New Year! It feels like this is going to be a very good year. It was exciting to be able to set some goals and start fresh on all the things I had lost track of. I'll talk more about that in a minute. But FIRST...
Our little Cole Bug turned the big 2! (He's been acting like a two-year-old for quite a while now. Maybe now that he's two he will realize the "terrible twos" are overrated and start acting like an angel again.) He melts our hearts, and he knows how to turn the charm on to get away with anything. We will keep him around.
It's so nice to start a new year and feel like you aren't already behind somehow. What are some of the goals you have set? I'll share a couple of mine, if you want to know! One of my goals this year is to read at least 2 books a month. One will be for self-improvement. (motivational/inspirational/non-fiction stuff,) and the other one will be good ol' fashioned fiction/classics/easy reading. If you have any recommendations for either of these categories, I'm all ears!!
Anyway, my other goal is to feed my family better meals. (Or should I say MEALS. Period.) I want to introduce them to new foods and try out new recipes. SO, again, if you have anything you would like to share with me, hit me! I would LOVE to hear about good recipes you've tried.
There you have it. I will try to do better about posting so our family and friends don't miss the boys growing up. I'm taking a Geology class at the college here. So far I really like it. It's been a long time coming, but I'm finally finishing my degree. It feels really good to know that all the time I've spent at this school will finally be applied to something.
Also, Kari Ann and I are taking a Yoga/Pilates class together at the college. Kari Ann could be teaching the class! I, on the other hand, am the one who can't even touch my toes!! I'm excited to see how it goes.
Nathan is doing great... the boys adore him, and I'm amazed by the things he can accomplish at home and at work. He got called to be a Ward Missionary, and couldn't be more thrilled.
There's our update. Thanks for checking in. I will do better!!
Happy Weekend, Everyone!!

Yay! I love your posts!
those are some good goals!
I have some good, healthy recipes that I would love to share:) I think its a great goal to have to cook better and eat more healthy. I just read the Lovely Bones. Which its not a self improvement book but I think you might like it. I will let you borrow it when I get it back from Monique.
I've checked your blog nearly every day, and I'm glad you are back. Melissa Stirling (formerly Soares from Ala Cinco in Brasil) is sending for some Brasilian foods. If you want some, let me know and I'll put you in touch with her. Melissa is living in Idaho now. She and Alvaro divorced, and she recently remarried.
Yay! I've missed you! Those boys are seriously so handsome. Can't believe Cole is 2! It seems not so long ago we went out to breakfast downtown when you were due with him only a few days later...
Love you!
