Adventures in Apple Sauce Making

Step 1. Pick as many apples as you possibly can without getting sprayed by a skunk.
2. Take photos to prove to your husband you really did it.

This is Tiffiny Hatch, one of my favorite gals in the world. 3. Wash, chop out any bad parts and throw them in to start cooking.
I LOVE the colors of the apples when we threw them into the pot.

Preparing to make Apple Sauce.4. Smile and pretend like you know what you're doing.
5. Show the camera your disappointment when you realize this "practice" batch has to go in the garbage. I can't tell you why. But trust me, neither of us wanted our families to get sick.
We didn't discover it until we were cleaning up!Grrr... 6. Wait for applesauce to go on sale and stock up.
I love giving the boys their bath before bed. Nothing beats a clean, yummy-smelling boy, fresh out of the tub. Cole's hair is getting long, so I slicked it back last night. Dapper Dan!

Noah and I made snickerdoodles last night for Leah's birthday. And when we were done the boys went to town on the leftover cinnamon-sugar. Noah wants to be a chef when he grows up. He LOVES to watch Emeril's show. You should see this kid crack eggs!

So did you end up with any applesauce? Or did the entire truck load get thrown out?
